In-Floor Radiant Heat in a Concrete Slab

PEX Tubing installed in concrete provides the most efficient and least costly form of hydronic in-floor heating. Tubing can be stapled to the foam insulation for a quick and easy installation, or tied off to your rebar/mesh grid to float in the middle of the concrete for the most efficient system. We provide staplers and staples, as well as wire ties and wire tie tools. Regardless of which way you choose to secure your PEX tubing we've got you covered.

One helpful method for laying out your PEX tubing is to create a storey pole, which is a board or stick marked at a spacing correspondent to the tube spacing of your layout. View the video below to see how to use a storey pole and the RHT PEX tubing stapler for a fast and clean installation.

Once your tubing is installed and pressure tested, a concrete slab is poured as normal.
