Air Elimination & Control
Taco Air Scoops® are specifically designed with internal baffles that slow the water velocity in order to separate the air from solution. This provides a noiseless, air-free hydronic heating, cooling or combination system. Taco Air Scoops® also provide an economical way to integrate air elimination by the connection of either a plain steel or diaphragm expansion tank.
Features:
- One-piece, cast iron construction
- 1/8" vent connection on top & 1/2" bottom tapping for expansion tank connection
- 1-1/2" through 4" Air Scoops have an additional top tapping for the connection of a plain steel expansion tank
- Engineered baffle to separate air from water
- Never requires servicing
- Maximum Operating Pressure: 125 PSI
- Maximum Operating Temperature: 300°F
- Recommended Flow Rate: 4 ft/sec
- Maximum Flow Rate: 8 ft/sec
